Lists

Organize information with bullet points, numbered lists, and task lists

Unordered Lists

Use unordered (bullet) lists when the order of items doesn't matter.

Example:

  • First item
  • Second item
  • Third item
    • Nested item
    • Another nested item

Ordered Lists

Use ordered (numbered) lists for sequential steps or ranked items.

Example:

  1. First step
  2. Second step
  3. Third step
    1. Sub-step
    2. Another sub-step

Task Lists

Create interactive checklists for tutorials, guides, or action items.

Example:

  • Todo item
  • Completed item
  • Another todo

When to Use Lists

✓ Use lists for:

  • • Breaking down complex information
  • • Step-by-step instructions
  • • Features or benefits
  • • Requirements or prerequisites
  • • Quick reference information

✗ Avoid lists for:

  • • Narrative content that flows naturally
  • • Single items (use regular paragraphs)
  • • Complex explanations needing context
